First off, I'd like to say that this is a deck that I am extremely excited to be releasing. I've been working on it for a while now and I'm really proud of the result. I'd also like to give a huge shoutout to my friend TimbsAndAFitted, the duelist that inspired me to make a deck like this. If you're viewing this deck, thank you so much for all your help, advice, tips, and guidance, to inspire me to make a deck format as original and powerful as this, which is currently performing amazingly against my friends I play casuals with. Anyways, with that all finished let's get into the deck. This deck is what I definitely believe to be anti-meta for the upcoming scene with Master Rule 5, focusing on Ritual monsters through the Impcantation archetype. Looking at this deck initially compared to Timbs', you may notice a lot of similarities with the Main Deck's components, and if you have already seen the original version of this deck you'll understand why most of the card choices remained the same. But there are some key differences that I'd like to highlight. To begin, I did decide, after some debate, to include Ghost Ogre. This is, I guess more of a personal preference and is definitely your call whether to keep in or not. Next up, I did add 2 Pot of Avarice, thanks to the recent release from the banlist. I would actually suggest keeping this the way that it is. A lot of people that I play against ask why I don't play Desires instead, and the reason for that is that there is a lot of searching involved, and if there is constant banishing from Desires' effect, it's gonna be really difficult to be more versatile with your strategies. But I think that the most notable change between me and Timbs' decks is the contents of the Extra Deck, because putting it simply, I completely dissected and replaced its monsters. Now, because I don't wanna make this description an essay long, I'll just go really quick explaining my reasonings for the choices: Verte Anaconda (Super-Poly search), Ahashima (to get out your Xyz monsters if needed), Saryuja (obvious staple). Trisbaena, triple Insulators, and Masquerena all kinda fall into the same rhythm with their combos supporting Linkmail which decreases ATK and stays on the field as long as need thanks to graveyard capability. Dragostapelia and Greedy Venom I guess are more situational and you can use them both when needed. Apkallone counters Shaddolls, which with MR5's release is becoming fairly noteworthy. And lastly, Strike Bounzer, Greedy Sarameya, and Emeral are all just general supports. To finalize this already freakishly long description, the Side Deck contains a lot of staples and substitutes, which can all be added in as desired. Once again thanks for viewing this Anti-Meta Impcantation deck, huge thanks again to TimbsAndAFitted, really couldn't have made this deck the way it is without you. If you have any questions about the deck, feel more than welcome to contact me on Discord @Akiro#5032, and as always, delightful dueling!
